Hey Allison!
I tagged you, if you need to know what all this means I've got the rules and you posted on my blog.
By the way, this is really COOL!

Hi Allison, I saw that Karen tagged you and wanted to come take a peek. I see that you are a very intellectual and spiritual artist. I like what you said about art being a way to bring people from different walks of life together. I realize that's a crude paraphrase. Sorry.

Some of your work reminds me of Matisse's figures, in the lines and pared down simplicity.

Hi Karen,
Thanks for the comment. I am hoping to meet with the critique group this month. The 28th works best...Allie

Hi Silvina,
Thanks for showing interest in my work. I began as a realist painter but moved into abstract art as I became more invested in the power of art. I am impacted more by Cezanne than Matisse. He is exemplary at using space, colors, and tension to engage his viewer. However, I can see the relationship you drew to Matisse as well. To be honest, the greats have all influenced my work in some way and the artists living today continue to be influential. To deny this would be ignorant. In fact, anything my eye can see has some impact on my work (whether obvious or subconsciously).

I love this drawing, I love the sense of fluidity and space.
